SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Edgebander Operator is primarily responsible for the set up and operation of the edgebanding machine to apply veneer bands to edges of product.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES (duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, set up, troubleshoot, and operate an edge banding machine to glue veneer/pvc bands to edges of cabinetry
  • Review drawings and blueprints
  • Operate various wood shop machinery and hand tools
  • Inspect work to ensure it is defect free
  • Conduct accurate measurements utilizing tape measurer
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work with safely and efficiently in all aspects of the job
  • Follows all safety and OSHA standards and ensures a safe working environment
  • Attends departmental meetings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year CNC machinist experience, preferred
  • Previous experience in woodworking industry a plus

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and background check
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of measuring devices and to read and interpret drawing/prints
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to follow multi-step instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to problem solve and manage time and resources efficiently
